ABOUT THAT WOMAN WHO WENT AFTER ME HERE ON FACEBOOK

Sunday, December 8, 2019 … 9:15 A.M.

Unknown to most readers of this work, I almost never mention blatantly personal attacks against me on this page.

To be clear, “personal” does not include the typical hammering I take by pols and their hirelings / mouthpieces.

I will now make an exception to my rule.

The woman (certainly not a lady) at issue went after me on the page of one of my readers. When the smoke cleared, her tirade went so far as to associate me with a supposed “killing.”

That written defamation / libel aside for the moment, the true impetus of the woman’s spew, it turned out, was my unforgivable “negativity” toward my Shreveport hometown.

This woman has never met me … or even spoken to me … or read my work.

In fact, this woman is a raging member of the now infamous club of Shreveporters who believe we live in one of the finest cities anywhere … anywhere!

In truth, such people have been one of our city’s predominant curses for decades, at least. Most notable among them are hidden “leaders” and some owners / managers of Shreveport’s traditional news media entities.

My advice to these people is that they research and consider the real news about Shreveport … the news my work literally exists to provide … free to those who truly care about our place.

Here are a few of the issues I am working on …

… Thanks to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor, we now know our total debt a year ago was $1.054 BILLION … just under $5,500 for every man, woman and child living here. Regardless anything else, “leaders” are hard at work on another bond issue … much like the bond issue we defeated only 22 days ago.

… Yet other City Hall officials are now considering a new tax increase to be added to some monthly bill or another … regardless that bond issue defeat 22 days ago.

… Attorney Larry English, point man for the Cross Bayou Point scam, was sanctioned last month by the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board for taking and keeping attorney fees people paid to him … for which he did no work. Such speaks volumes about the project, too. (SEE link to Disciplinary Board report / judgment below.)

… The amount the City has long overbilled residents for water usage is not yet finally determined, but may well blow the top out of recent estimates of $25,000,000 or $30,000,000.

… Regardless that amount, City Hall is already at work trying to find a way to restore the deliberate “rounding” error which caused the overbilling in the first place.

… Owing to purposely ineffective oversight and other City Hall corruption, the long-believed cost of our city’s water and sewer federal “consent decree” projects has more than doubled from $400 million to $1 BILLION or more.

… Mayor Adrian Perkins is here in Shreveport less and less as he campaigns to run against either Congressman Mike Johnson or U. S. Senator Bill Cassidy. (Yes, I am well aware that his absence is believed by many to be a good thing, but it is not: those acting in his absence know even less about what they are doing.)

To my attacker, know this: whatever the “leadership” haters here concoct about me, they will forget to mention what they well know: I am not a man who suffers fools gladly.
