Police: Woman hits husband with Thanksgiving turkey
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Police say a 32-year-old Baton Rouge woman has been arrested after she held a knife to her husband’s throat and hit him with a Thanksgiving turkey during an argument in their kitchen.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/2gauaQX) an officer arrived at the couple’s home Thursday to find Helen Jackson and her husband standing face to face, yelling at each other. After separating the two, the man told the officer he was trying to cook a turkey when the confrontation occurred.
Police say Jackson initially denied having the knife and getting into an argument, but later said she’d taken the knife away from her husband, who was using it on the turkey.
Jackson faces charges of aggravated assault and domestic abuse battery.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Jackson.
