Police investigate shooting of New Orleans teenager


NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Police are investigating the shooting of a New Orleans teenager outside an apartment building.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (http://bit.ly/2hoNMRP ) witnesses heard multiple gunshots late Wednesday in the 8400 block of Stroelitz Street.

New Orleans police said in a preliminary report that a light-colored van pulled up shortly after 10 p.m. and two men got out and began firing guns. The report said bullets struck an 18-year-old victim in the face, neck and shoulder.

The wounded teenager was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
