We can expect more to be reported in coming days about the long-awaited release early this morning of the 2018 City of Shreveport Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

As I have previously explained, this audit of the final year of ex-Mayor Ollie Tyler’s term in office under the auspices of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor has been long-delayed.

The body of the standard CAFR ends on Document Page 192. (The “Document page” is shown in the upper left-hand corner as one reads the entire report.) Beginning there is the “Single Audit Report.”

Even more specifically, beginning on Document Page 242 is the most important information, from the City’s (dependable) Internal Auditor, Leanis Steward, ending on Page 254.

Here is the link to this voluminous report, which may take a bit of time to download:

I will comment later.

For now, given the upcoming $186,000,000 bond issue vote on November 16th, it is more than merely interesting to see what has become of the City of Shreveport’s “financial management,” or the lack thereof … regardless who is or has been mayor.
